Discover ACTION training modules and join the final conference
The ACTION project aims to promote the employability of migrants, through the enhancement of both technical-professional skills and transversal skills useful for the labor market (including interpersonal skills better known as soft skills: communication skills, cooperation skills, team building and other social skills).
Between 2020 and 2023, the European partners of the ACTION project have developed a series of resources and learning modules to help educators and all those who work closely with migrants in the development of new professional pathways, focused on both knowledge and skills.
In this regard, the new ACTION e-platform includes four training modules on:
- Experiential tourism: methodology and good practices
- Social media and development of a social media campaign
- Social skills and management of tourist services
- Programming languages useful for the labor market
Let’s have a look! The following 4 e-modules were tested in Germany, Italy, Greece, Macedonia, and Cyprus, involving a large number of beneficiaries. In Italy, PRISM Impresa Sociale organised a series of workshops involving 15 educators and 5 migrants of different ages and socio-cultural backgrounds. In particular, the importance of adopting an approach based on the enhancement of skills was stressed, thus providing practical suggestions to participants and simple instructions on how to integrate the labor market and start a new career in tourism sector.
The tourism sector represents a strong resource in terms of the employability of migrants and it is therefore necessary to increase and provide new training opportunities, ensuring greater participation of migrants in workshops and learning sessions.
