Workshop for the Formation of the Territorial Network of the Agri for Integration project in Lercara Friddi

On June 12, 2025, the workshop for the formation of the territorial network under the European Project Agri for Integration was held in Lercara Friddi, at Palazzo Sartorio. The event was attended by key institutional representatives and local stakeholders who collaborated to develop a strategy aimed at promoting the integration of third-country nationals (TCNs) in the agricultural sector.

Among the participants were the Mayor of Lercara Friddi, Luciano Marino, the Mayor of Palazzo Adriano, Granà Nicola, the representative of the Consorzio Hera Scs, Gianluca Cangemi, the Mayor of Marineo, Carlo Greco, and the Director of PRISM Impresa Sociale s.r.l., Alessandro Melillo. Together, they laid the foundation for a local collaboration system focused on integrating third-country nationals (TCNs) into agriculture, through the use of innovative technologies like Precision Agriculture, in partnership with the University of Palermo (UNIPA).

This meeting marked the first step in developing a strategy that takes into account the needs of TCNs, local agricultural businesses, and communities in the area. Thanks to the contribution of all involved stakeholders, the project can move forward with a shared vision that addresses the local context’s specific requirements.
