Back to the Games: final events in Palermo and Marineo mark the closing of the project in Italy

The Back to the Games project is coming to an end after two years of activities aimed at promoting learning, collaboration, and the development of transversal skills through offline games and sports.

In Italy, the final phase of the project took place through two key events held in September and October 2025.
The 3rd and 4th September, project partners gathered in Palermo for the third and final Transnational Project Meeting — a crucial moment to consolidate the results achieved and to plan the project’s closing actions. During the meeting, the partners reviewed the final version of the online platform, which includes all educational modules and training materials, and prepared the last phase of dissemination to be carried out in the partner countries.

Following this, on October 3rd, the Italian team organized a dissemination event at a lower secondary school in Marineo (PA). On this occasion, students and teachers had the opportunity to explore the educational activities developed within Back to the Games, reflecting on how these tools could be integrated into school curricula or used in non-formal learning settings.
Students also shared their experiences with offline and online games through an interactive discussion, highlighting both the benefits and potential negative consequences of digital play.

The event concluded with a message encouraging young people to engage more in offline games and sports, as essential tools for wellbeing, socialization, and personal growth.
