Programme: Erasmus+ KA1: Mobility of Youth Workers
Reference: 2020-3-IT03-KA105-020345
Start: 01/02/2021
End: 31/01/2023

The project targets community-based organizations (CBOs) that are young people-driven and work with/for vulnerable young people and children in both EU and South Mediterranean countries. CBOs play a crucial role to enable young people to play a meaningful role in pursuing community development and social volunteering.

Young leaders need to be supported to be able to identify the most important needs of their peers through comprehensive analysis, community mobilization and respond to them by designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating targeted programmes/projects based on the most effective good practices and methodologies.

On this purpose, a one-week training will be implemented. The course will be about Theory of change and Project management, and will mostly focus on programs targeting vulnerable people and the protection of their rights.

  • To enhance the capacity of youth community-based organizations to play a meaningful role in their work with and for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in EU ”South Mediterranean Countries”.
  • To support the professional development of youth leaders and equip them with key competences and practical tools on Theory of Change, Community Development and Non-formal Education that can be adopted in their work with and for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in EU and South Mediterranean Countries.
  • “Analysis phase”, during which the community context is screened and analysed in order to identify and address the needs faced by target groups and final beneficiaries. Theory of change starts with the analysis of a situation and context that needs change, and the identification of the desired change.
  • “Formulation phase”, the intervention strategy is further developed into a results chain, which shows a series of boxes from inputs to outputs, outcomes and impacts. All findings and insights obtained during the analysis stage are integrated in the Results Chain.
  • Knowledge and key competencies on the Theory of Change, non-formal education and community development,
  • Cultural awareness and expression competencies,
  • Social and civic competencies to foster social transformation,
  • Communication in foreign languages,
  • Learning to learn: an improved capacity to pursue and organise one’s own learning.

Results

  • Increased socio-professional development of N.31 youth workers involved in the Training Course, that are equipped with knowledge, key competences and employable tools that can be integrated in their community work with and for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in EU and South Mediterranean Countries.
