On June 17th 2022 we had the pleasure of being hosted by the Domus Carmelitana Siculorum in the neighbourhood of Ballarò (Palermo) to introduce the public to the Multiplier Event for SE4YOU (Social Entrepreneurship for Youth): “Rete Di Promozione Imprenditoria Sociale Giovanile Area Euro-Med” (Euro-Med Area Social Entrepreneurship Promotion Network).
The event was organized as a round table linked to different topics, among which Social Entrepreneurship tools for youngsters between 18-30 have been protagonist. We told the story of the project, its pilot-course dedicated offering tools and methods to create Social Enterprises and had an enriching, dynamic discussion about different socio-cultural context in Europe in this regards.
We had the honour of hearing about the Sicilian virtuous example of the Moltivolti (www.moltivolti.org), a city’s social lab using multiple economic resources (restaurant, co-working, no-profit, responsible tourism) with the main and solemn aim of multicultural integration in Palermo. One of Moltivolti’s founders, Roberta Lo Bianco, shared with us this success’ story: its challenges and beauties, while clearly narrating the social potential of an idea.
