We are looking for a Senior EU Grant Writer, specialized in the development of project proposals under European programmes (such as Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, I3, COE, COSME, CERV, and others)
The Senior EU Grant Writer will be responsible for the entire process of ideation, writing and submission of project proposals, working closely with the strategic leads of the organization. Within the Project Design Unit, the Senior EU Grant Writer contributes to positioning PRISM at the forefront of its sector by developing strategic and innovative proposals aligned with the organization’s mission and development priorities.
They oversee stakeholder needs analysis, funding opportunity monitoring, proposal writing, and coordination of partner contributions. They also promote continuous improvement of design practices by integrating innovative elements and enhancing the transformative potential of proposed projects.
The position is full time and can also be held in full remote mode.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor funding opportunities in line with PRISM’s strategies by analyzing calls and EU programmes;
- Contribute to the analysis of stakeholder and territorial needs, in coordination with the strategic area of the organization;
- Develop project concepts consistent with organizational priorities and programme guidelines;
- Draft and structure project proposals, including sections on objectives, activities, expected impacts, budget, and operational planning;
- Coordinate project partners during the design phase, gathering technical contributions and administrative documentation;
- Collaborate with the administrative team on budget building and accurate completion of required documentation;
- Integrate innovative approaches into projects and promote continuous improvement of design practices;
- Maintain updated documentation and contribute to capitalizing on past project design experiences.
Ideal candidate:
We are looking for a professional with solid experience in writing project proposals for EU programmes, able to combine strategic vision, analytical skills, and attention to quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Has significant experience in European project design, with proven ability to write complete, competitive, and compliant proposals;
- Has in-depth knowledge of main European programmes (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, I3, COE, COSME, CERV, etc.) and is familiar with the corresponding guidelines, forms, and portals;
- Possesses excellent writing and synthesis skills in Italian and English (C1 level), with a good command of French (at least B2 level) being a plus;
- Is able to analyze needs and contexts, translating them into strategic and well-structured project interventions;
- Demonstrates autonomy, accuracy, result-orientation, and the ability to meet deadlines even in complex or remote collaboration settings;
- Can interact effectively with interdisciplinary teams, international partners, and strategic stakeholders, ensuring coordination during co-design phases.
