Discover the new “Analysis of the VELA field of action and Exploitation of Best Practices.”
The European partners of the Erasmus+ project VELA released the “Analysis of the VELA field of action and Exploitation of Best Practices” which includes several experiences and good practices from the EU countries, to promote basic digital literacy skills and access to online and distance learning for any adult learner from any background.
Enhancing the digital skills of individuals to foster their social and professional inclusion is the main objective of the Consortium, who works closely with VET trainers and educators, experts in adult education and vocational training to contrast existing digital gap between the individuals.
The experiences and best practices collected by VELA in Italy, Spain, Poland, Romania, and Cyprus, show how the EU countries try to guarantee access to information technologies and the strengthening of digital skills for all learners, also including citizens with a migrant background, disability, facing socio-economic vulnerability, or experiencing marginality such as to preclude their inclusion in digital education pathways and training courses. Later, a set of minimum standards for digital accessibility and access to ICT will be set-up, by developing innovative methodologies and tools (multimedia, audiovisual, e-learning, gamification resources, etc.) tailored to the very heterogenous educational needs of the different beneficiaries and audience.
VELA therefore gives a strong value to the diversity of learners, developing digital solutions to promote not only their socio-professional inclusion but also their social-emotional and personal wellbeing, promoting communication and peer learning by exchanging expertise and experiences among all adult learners.
A very innovative Moodle digital platform will be available soon, including new interactive tools created by VELA partners to better engage the audience and promote equal opportunities among people.
