Recognizing their crucial role in addressing pressing societal challenges and promoting sustainable development, The Erasmus+ Project SENIMA is dedicated to fostering social entrepreneurs in their pursuit of meaningful change. Social entrepreneurs, driven by a passion to make a difference, combine business acumen with a heart for social impact. They navigate uncharted territories, seeking innovative solutions that create positive transformations in communities.
A such, the six partners of the international project consortium (the coordinator: Uniwersytet Łódzki, from Poland; Prism Impresa Sociale S.R.L, from Italy; Lt Synergy Ltd and Pcx Computers & Information Systems Ltd, from Cyprus; Csongrad County Chamber Of Commerce And Industry, from Hungary; Eurocert Eyropaiki Etaireia Emeghon Kai Pistopoihseon Anonymos Etaireia, from Greece) were hosted, on July 25-26, by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce to discuss the impact, activities and tasks linked to the:
- The SENIMA E-learning Platform, a digital realm designed to empower participants with essential skills and resources for the growth and development of the social sector. Through interactive and dynamic e-learning modules, the platform offers a comprehensive journey, covering crucial aspects such as business models and legal forms (module 1), innovation in the social sector (module 2), financial management for social enterprises (module 3), and corporate governance (module 4).
- The SENIMA Toolkit, a treasury of knowledge, best practices, and educational materials crafted to guide and inspire social entrepreneurs on their transformative path. This comprehensive resource serves as a beacon, offering invaluable insights into the intricacies of social enterprise development, financial management, innovation, and corporate governance.
The SENIMA Platform, accessible at https://senima.eu/ , will encompass both as it is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and resources for the growth and development of the social sector.
Furthermore, during the transnational project meeting, one of the key areas of emphasis was to extend support to Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers in seamlessly integrating the transformative SENIMA concept into their educational offerings. Recognizing the pivotal role VET institutions play in nurturing future talent and equipping them with relevant skills, the consortium acknowledged the importance of incorporating social entrepreneurship into the curriculum.
The successful collaboration among the partners and the dedication shown during the meeting promise a significant impact on social entrepreneurship and the promotion of sustainable business practices in Europe. With a strong commitment to empowering social enterprises, SENIMA is making strides in building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
