The “YOUCLE: Youth Climate Empowerment” project aims to bring together different non-profit youth organisations in Europe working on environmental issues, to improve international cooperation, increase knowledge about nature and raise awareness. More specifically, the focus will be on creating and providing tools to NGOs on how to involve young people in order to plan and manage local green campaigns and concrete actions.
From November the 20th to the 23rd Aventura Marao Clube in Amarante hosted the final meeting of the “YOUCLE: Youth Climate Empowerment” project. In this last meeting, the consortium talked about the local activities recently developed by the involved associations and we successfully established the next and last steps to be taken in order to ensure the success of the project.
This was a valuable opportunity not only to discuss together the latest events and the results obtained by the recently concluded COP22 but also, during the last day of activity, to visit two examples of local good practices currently being developed by the host association: the Village of Youth, which aims to work only thanks to sustainable energy and the Urban Garden, awarded as “Inspiring Project 2022”.
The project is now coming to a closing stage and we can’t wait to show you the final results, so be sure to keep up with what’s new on our channels!
