The first kick-off staff meeting and training for trainers of the project “Allon I3 – Alliance on Interregional Innovation Investments” were held in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, on February 28th and 29th. The event was part of the project co-financed by the European Union’s Interregional Innovation Investments Program. The training for trainers brought together experts and coordinators from partner organizations across Italy, Bulgaria, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Denmark.
The Allon I3 project aims to enhance interregional investment ecosystems within the framework of the European Union’s Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3). Since 2014, the Smart Specialisation Strategy has been the tool used by EU regions and member states to maximize the impact of investments from Structural and Investment Funds (SIE) in research and innovation, by concentrating resources on the areas of specialization unique to each region.
We would like to thank the Mechatronics Valley Hub, the regional stakeholder of the project in Italy, for its valuable collaboration. The hub participated with its representatives and experts in this important transnational meeting.
