The third press release of Europe 4.0 Digital Citizens is now available, focusing on the strategic role of micro-credentials in strengthening digital competences.
In line with the 2022 Council Recommendation on micro-credentials, the project integrates micro-credentials as a practical tool to recognise short, targeted learning outcomes that are directly relevant to the labour market. This approach supports inclusion, employability and more flexible learning pathways, particularly for adults with low or medium levels of digital skills.
The press release also highlights the progress of the Digital Citizens Curriculum, the piloting phase of the eLearning course and the next steps involving 1,400 adults, of whom 1,050 will complete a structured assessment to obtain Europe 4.0 Digital Citizens Micro-credentials.
A key update that demonstrates how Europe 4.0 is contributing to building a more prepared, resilient and digitally competent European society.
