The project aims to address the adult skills shortage in digital labour market via the development of blockchain skills and competences among adults. The project is aligned with the EU’s DigiComp Framework for the development of the content and activities towards supporting adults in a purposeful use of digital technologies and through digital pedagogies, tools, experts and frameworks, and also with the EU Blockchain Strategy aiming to tackle blockchain skill shortages and to respond to the current and future skill needs of the European Blockchain workforce.

  • To adopt a cross-sectoral and transnational approach to respond to the current and future skill needs of the European Blockchain workforce by upskilling Adult educators and Adult Learners.
  • To create bridges of collaboration between Blockchain Experts and Adult learners via knowledge building Camps, video-based narratives and Blockchain Case resolution initiatives.
  • To adopt participatory action research methodology to apply co-creation in the design and development of the project activities through BlockchainED Scrutiny Panel.
  • Developing context-based activities and video-based educational narratives for participants to understand the elements, functionalities and applications of blockchain in different aspects of work.
  • Creating an engaging learning pathway through industry-driven educational and video-based narratives directly from Blockchain experts to support maximal learning and real-world insights.
  • Delivering National BlockchainED Foundation Workshops, Trainings and National BlockchainED camps with 120 Adult Learners.
  • BlockchainED Adult Educators’ eToolkit: interactive and narrative-based set of digital resources and activities (infographics, hyperlinks, videos of women industry experts, interactive activities) for areas of application: Finance, Healthcare, Media, Education, Energy, Cybersecurity, Public Bodies).
  • BlockchainED Videos Block: set of 25 videos created by blockchain experts from industry and academia.
  • The multilingual BlockchainED Hub: videos, manuals, tutorials, good practices, reports, guides, activities, interactive sections, etc. The Hub will have specific sections, such as: Toolkit Block, Video Block, Interactivity Block.
  • Adult Educator’s Manual: a digital guide with guidelines on the Adult Educators eToolkit, the Hub (Videos Block, Interactivity Block).

Results

  • Created upskilling pathways in the direction of blockchain skills development among adult learners.
  • Improved Adult Educators competences in knowledge of blockchain technologies, cases and good practices in a wide variety of areas including Finance, Healthcare, Legal, Media, Cybersecurity, etc.
  • Enhanced digital readiness by equipping adults with the skills necessary to address the shortage in the blockchain labour market.
