Crop-MATCHING: the first project Kick-Off Meeting held in Thessaloniki

On 6–7 November 2025, PRISM Impresa Sociale took part in the official Kick-Off Meeting of the Crop-MATCHING project, hosted in Thessaloniki by the coordinating partner, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). The meeting gathered all 16 partners and provided a constructive environment to launch the project’s initial activities.

Crop-MATCHING aims to support the transition towards more sustainable agricultural systems by identifying, analysing and sharing best practices in crop matching, while developing a digital platform and tailored training solutions for advisors, farmers and institutions.

The first day focused on the work planned for the initial 18 months: defining technical requirements, mapping lighthouse practices across the 10 participating countries, assessing training needs and outlining the communication strategy. Contributions from the European Commission’s Project Officer and representatives of DG AGRI added valuable policy and operational insights.

The second day looked ahead to activities scheduled for months 19–48, including the development of the digital platform, preparation of the training modules and the two cross-fertilization events, in which PRISM will play a leading role.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the project’s governance structure, coordination procedures and internal collaboration mechanisms, supported by the excellent organisation provided by AUTH.

PRISM will contribute significantly to the development of digital training content, the definition of platform requirements and the organisation of the first cross-fertilization event.
