DIGITABILITY Project’s vision is to promote people with disabilities’ employment by enhancing their digital skills and competences to support a remote working scheme through the development of a more digital resilient educational scheme for both training providers and trainees.

The prime motivation of the project “DIGITABILITY” is to create a framework that employees with disabilities and candidate employees with disabilities will obtain new digital skills to facilitate their daily work life especially in remote working and will receive focused training on improving their digital skills to better place them in the job market.

In this view, VET providers and Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) associations will be equipped with useful tools (Training Course, VET Trainers Certification, Open Learning Platform) to effectively respond to their stakeholders’ needs and will provide its trainers with improved knowledge for delivering training to people with disabilities.

  • To empower persons with disabilities, transform their position in society, and ensure persons with disabilities can access their rights in the new world of work and beyond.
  • To equip VET Providers with a Training Programme to assist people with disabilities acquire digital skills.
  • To make employers more inclusive with persons with disabilities identifying actions needed to shape a future of work in a more disability-inclusive way.
  • To achieve equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
  • Conducting of needs analysis interviews with specialist VET Providers for employees with disabilities.
  • Supporting people with disabilities in their daily tasks at the workplace through the use of digital tools.
  • Establishing an innovative framework that takes into consideration the peculiarities of each EU country’s people with disabilities employment status.
  • State Analysis Report, a twofold report for employees with disabilities and for employers that analyses the recruiting challenges of hiring disabled people.
  • Training Course for VET education professionals to gain a deeper understanding of emerging trends in enhancing digital skills and competences to employees or candidate employees with disabilities, aiming to create a more inclusive world of work
  • DIGITABILITY Certification, a certification procedure that will allow users to test their knowledge and gain a Certification by a Certification body.
  • DIGITABILITY Open Learning Platform, an interactive platform.

Results

  • Acquired digital skills that will place the people with disabilities in a better position with more chances for employment.
  • Increased flexibility of opportunities in Vocational Education and Training.
  • Enhanced expertise and knowledge in the areas of Digital Skills customized to the special needs of people with disabilities.
