GreenVET focus group in Italy: boosting green transition for IMR companies

The first Italian focus group of the GreenVET project, held on 19 March, showcased a pioneering collaboration between PRISM Impresa Sociale in Sicily and the Università delle LiberEtà dal FVG in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

This online event brought together 13 participants from a wide range of sectors, including research, education, professional training, IMR companies, environmental non-profit organisations and staff members of both Italian partners.

The meeting was characterised by lively discussions, with each participant offering a different perspective on the green transition. The Focus Group showed that each field of interest perceived the topic in a slightly different way but is overall considered as relevant and people are getting more familiar with Green transition day by day.

As the discussions progressed, it became clear that different skills require tailored approaches to training. Participants emphasised the importance of tailoring courses to the specific needs and characteristics of individual companies.

The multidisciplinary nature of the Focus Group allowed for rich contributions from a variety of perspectives and provided the partners with a broad understanding of sustainability practices across different industries.

In conclusion, the first focus group of the GreenVET project proved to be a fruitful endeavour. Participants eagerly engaged in the discussions and expressed a keen interest in keeping abreast of the project’s progress.

This promising start sets the stage for collaborative efforts towards a greener, more sustainable future.
