As Newcomers@Work approaches its conclusion, we look back on an impactful pilot phase that engaged more than 350 young NEETs with migrant backgrounds across six European countries. Through personalised mentoring and practical work-based experiences, participants strengthened their skills, explored their potential, and built confidence in navigating the labour market.
These achievements were made possible thanks to strong cooperation between youth workers and employers, who implemented the tools co-developed within the project. Local partnerships ensured that each pathway was adapted to the specific needs and contexts of the young people involved.
The Final Conference in Gdańsk brought partners together for an important moment of exchange and shared reflection. The event was not only an opportunity to present results, but also a space to discuss inclusion, integration, and the challenges young migrants encounter in accessing employment. It fostered meaningful connections, new perspectives, and forward-looking thinking.
Alongside the final transnational event, each partner country held its own National Conference, connecting the project with local communities. Stakeholders, employers, youth workers, public authorities, and NEET participants shared experiences and insights, contributing to discussions on policy alignment, sustainability, and long-term cooperation.
All project resources are now available online — including the Curriculum, Digital Toolbox, Implementation Guide, and Curriculum Guide. These materials are ready to be reused or adapted by organisations working on youth employability and migrant inclusion.
