The first year of the project SAVING is finishing, but the best is yet to come!
SAVING consortium met on the 27th and 28th of October in the heart of Palermo, next to Teatro Massimo, at PRISM’s headquarter.
It was one and a half day of discussion about what has been done so far and the next activities to be implemented. Indeed, December is coming with its training activity in Athens, hosted by Athens Lifelong Learning Institute.
If you are a youth worker, an educator, a trainer who is interested in food security, food waste and climate change, we are looking for you!
In the framework of the project, which aims at raising awareness on youth and future generations about climate change challenges proposing an innovative education programme about sustainable choices of life and reduction of food waste, partners are working to offer a training experience which will take place from the 12th to the 16th of December.
Participants will be selected after registering here. You have until the 8th of November to register your response! Selected participants will be contacted by the 10th of November.
During the training, the following topics will be covered:
- Sustainable environment, society and economy
- Organic treatments and weather-based production
- Socio-professional wellbeing of youth
- Zero food waste
- Definition of a sustainable strategy to reduce food waste
The added value of this training is to share learning practices, to exchange ideas and experiences, to share feedback between staff and participants involved and to deliver a training which adopts an innovative approach.
All costs for travelling are fully covered by the project.
