On 20th and 21st April 2023, the European partners of VELA from Italy, Romania, Cyprus, Poland and Spain met in Timisoara (Romania) to develop 4 training modules on digital education and basic digital skills, to be used by VET educators and trainers with young NEETs and migrants.
The aim is to develop a set of resources, both theoretical and practical, that can be used by educators in their daily work, in order to facilitate the acquisition of basic digital skills by adults having low digital literacy.
A MOODLE e-platform containing 4 training modules will be available soon:
-
“Digital Accessibility” Module: knowledge of Office and main basic tools for creating digital documents;
-
“Digital Inclusion” Module: rights and duties of the digital citizen, correct use of digital tools, correctness of online information, digital inclusion and prevention of online risks;
-
“Gamification” Module: e-learning platforms, tools and games for teaching;
-
“Quality and Innovation in e-learning” Module: human-centered approach in digital learning, “flipped classroom”, mixed learning and hybrid mode (online/offline);
Furthermore, in order to assess the validity of the following modules, a series of training sessions and workshops for adult learners will be organised in each VELA partnership country
The meeting in Timisoara was also a good opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the partners and co-design next steps including: a) the realisation of the MOODLE platform and its training modules, b) The E-book containing good practices and suggestions on how to improve online learning, c) the European Framework for the validation of digital competences. The latter will focus on a wide spectrum of digital skills and on the different levels (basic, middle, advanced) of digital literacy of the learners involved in the activities.
