The kick-off meeting of the new PRISM Project, F2F2D – “F2F2D and back: How to effectively transfer F2F language courses to online (distance form) in a short time” took place online on 14 and 15 December 2020. The main objective of the project is to support language schools, teachers, vocational training centres and NGO staff in transferring their language courses from face to face to online, in order to better respond to the new challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to our project you can easily manage this transition from f2f to online with easy-to-use tools and methods. During the kick-off, the partners discussed the general management of the project, the intellectual results, the Quality Assurance and the strategy for disseminating the results, as well as the assignment of responsibilities on the various project tasks. Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, the first meeting took place online. The partners also presented their organisations. The leading partners of the specific IOs presented the necessary actions to be taken for their implementation. The final products of the project are:
- Comprehensive study of types of courses and its transfer need
- Teacher guide to available tools and methods of transfer
- Step-by-step guide for transferring courses
- Self-assessment and assessment tools for students, teachers and facilitators
- Digital platform for distance/online education
- Course Guide for Facilitators and Trainers of Teachers
Currently, the consortium is working on the first product which is a study on the various types of courses, through an on-line questionnaire and focus groups with the main stakeholders of the project: teachers and language schools, staff of non-governmental organisations working with migrants, volunteers and workers in the language sector.
