CYSD “Community-based Youth work and Sustainable Development in EU and Africa” project, link eleven partners over ten countries and three continents though the same vision: the empowerment of grass root and community-based association workers in Italy, Turkey, Greece, Kenya, Senegal, Zambia, Ghana, Greece, South Africa and Togo, including the production of a free and open-access Capacity Building program. Kick-off meetings were held online on 15th and 21st March 2021 by engaging project coordinators from all participating organizations.
The project is organised in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme – Key Action 2 – Capacity Building in the field of youth and being implemented with the partnership:

The project focuses on building capacities though exchanges, training courses and job shadowing activities, with the aim of empowering organizations and workers with a wide range of skills, to contribute to the development of their communities. Parallelly, and drawing from these experiences, thematic and self-paced learning modules will be produced and made available to a broad range of actors (students, teachers, professionals, institutes…) on a e-learning platform, composing a cross-national Capacity Building Program.
The partnership – Italy, Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Uganda, Togo, Turkey and Greece – has recently launched the preparatory phase with the hopes that the global pandemic situation will soon improve, allowing mobility to resume.
